10 Ways To Develop Emotional Maturity

Hi guys, these are some of the steps I took towards having a stronger hold of my emotions; and I hope you find it helpful!

1. Trust the timing of your life, not someone else’s.

2. Break free from the rules you place on yourself . “Should“, “Shouldn’t“, “I better do”. Strive to be true to yourself instead.

3. Your happiness is not your family’s or your gf/bf’s responsibility. If you’re not happy with yourself, or happy being single, you won’t be happy being in a relationship — so don’t tie your happiness to a relationship. They’re just a part of your existence not your entire life!

4. Don’t expect people, circumstances, and events to change for you to feel better. To change how you feel in any given moment is always about you and your mindset. Have an open mind about everything because you don’t know it all. It’ll help you grow! If your perceptions about certain things aren’t changing, you’re not growing.

It’s always a shocker for me when I have conversations with people, and see how they think! People with a closed mindset will literally stop talking to you because you don’t agree with their illusions about how things work, or how people behave! They’d rather stick with the bandwagon!

5. Have the guts to admit your fxxkups and mistakes because that is a sign of a person willing to take responsibility. Most of the world is too busy trying to appear perfect!

6. Journaling, and talking to yourself will help you get out of the rut of your own mind. You overthink because you keep thinking the same thoughts again and again — without realizing that it does no good. Write it down, and leave it to be.

7. Forgive yourself for the times that someone guilt-tripped you into proving your worth to them. Sometimes we cringe when we remember a door mat behavior we’ve exhibited because we liked someone. Well you’ve grown now, and you know better. That’s what matters the most.

8. Vibing with people who have the same goofy humour as you is so therapeutic. For the sake of your mental health, understand that there’s a time for everything! Stay closer to people who know how to laugh, and who know how to make you laugh too. People who are always serious with everything will drain the life out of you!

9. Every successful man has had to swallow their pride at one time or another to achieve a goal. If you’re too proud to be tolerant, or endure; then you’re not ready to grow!

10. Learn to chill.

Thank you for reading, guys ❤️

9 Psychological Facts About Love

Let me start by saying that I'm not a love nor a relationship expert; but I've found these to be true. Growing up, I never questioned what love is because I had a lot of it from my family; and I'll simply tell anyone that love is genuine care, and selflessness.  I once read a Christian book that said that Agape Love  is the purest form of love, but I'm not defining what love is, or is not, today! Below, I'll be sharing some psychological facts about love especially for romantic relationships . Photo Credit : Unsplash

I Do Not Conform

This is just one of those topics I didn’t think deeply about; just some random thoughts on a random rainy cold night, put into writing! You ever scrolled through social media, and saw one of those posts that say “A woman is 'supposed to'….”? Oh my! How much I detest stuff like that.

How Living A Private Life Can Make You Stronger And Happier

Sighs...  We live in a generation where people feel like, or think that if you aren't posting nor sharing almost every moment of your life on social media, then nothing good is happening to you; and you're sad. I’ll be sharing this based on my personal experience; but let me explain what it means to live a private life. It means not sharing every personal detail about your life publicly. However, privacy is not the same as secrecy because people often confuse the two. Also, living a private life doesn't mean that you shouldn’t ask for help when you're in dire need of it. As an introvert, I keep most personal stuff to myself; but I used to trust easily until I learned the hard way. I learned that not everyone means well for you; and the scary part of it is that you may never know.  Photo Credit: Deposit photos
