11 Natural And Simple Ways To Make Your Skin Glow

We all want a very beautiful skin. Some of us work so hard to get it. We even end up spending huge amount of money on cosmetics and still see little to no result. Here's my secret to my beautiful skin I feel everyone should try out.

1. Keep your face neat

I always keep your face neat by washing it in the morning, and before bed time. This is really not easy especially the morning part. I do get lazy to wash my face in the morning if I'm not going anywhere, but to keep acne out, I have to, because when my pores are clogged, I break out.

2. Fruits!

To be honest, I don’t like fruits, so I found a way to eat them - by making a parfait. Fruits like strawberries, apples, avocados, bananas, and pineapples do so well in keeping the skin young and beautiful. Growing up, my mum forced me to take fruits. I never liked them till I wanted to shed some weight as a model years ago. I added fruits to my diet for a week, and the results were amazing.

I can thank her now because my skin turned out great. Thank you, mama!

3. Stick to one brand of product.

There's no need of having a biased mind. If you are confused on what brand of cosmetics to use on your skin, consult a dermatologist. "My friend told me this product is good" is one reason you will end up disappointed. Again, our skin differs. Your skin might take time to start showing the results of a certain product, while someone else's skin might show the results immediately.

When you get a product, try it out for two weeks at least, and see if it has any effect on your skin before changing to another one. Using too many products will leave you confused because you won't know which one is actually working!

4. Natural oils

Oh how I love natural oils! Olive oil is good, and I use that as my moisturizer at night.

5. Face masks

If you follow my Instagram page, you’ll know that I’m such a fan of face masks, but the downside of these guys is that they could clog your pores, so I prefer to use the paper face masks.

6. Night Sleep

Preaching about this will make me a hypocrite because I barely sleep at night. In fact, night is morning to me. For some reasons, I’m more creative at night, but hey there’s a reason they say “get your beauty sleep”. It’s really important if you want that flawless skin.

7. Eat healthy

Eat more healthy foods, and less unhealthy foods (processed foods)

8. Detox, exfoliate, and moisturize your skin at least twice a month.

9. Worry less

I Know that sometimes it's impossible for us not to worry as humans, but understand that thus also tells you skin so be sure to destress if you want beautiful skin.

Stress is one of the reasons your skin ages quickly. Avoid Uv rays. If you're close to me, you’ll know how much I h@te the sun! Don't stay under the sun too much. It destroys the skin especially the hot afternoon sun for those in Nigeria or other hot countries. The sun is not your friend. If you going out, wear sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30, and be sure to reapply every 30 minutes.

10. Exercise

If you want that young beautiful look, you must exercise. Do squats, burpees, or run. By the way burpees are my favorite now!

11. Drink Water

I know this is cliché, and you've heard it so many times; but it's really true when water lovers tell you how water makes their skin beautiful. It sure does, and also makes you lose weight! Try it, and see! Just be consistent.

Drink two glasses when you wake up, before eat, in the afternoon, before shower, and before you sleep. I drink a lot of water, especially when I’m in my comfort zone.

Now, here is a final bonus : Meditate! Listen to good songs if you are a song lover like me. Meditation helps your mind to relax, and that will help you not to have a dull skin because of stress or overthinking.

These are the natural ways I maintain my beautiful skin. It takes 28 days for what you do to become a habit so you have to keep practising till it becomes a part of you.

All the best! xo
