10 Kinds Of Men I've Met In My Life
This is going to be a very interesting read, so grab your popcorn and a drink, and enjoy. This is supposed to be a sequel to my other article 11 Kinds Of Women Every Man Meets In His Lifetime, but I decided to make it personal, and see if I'll enjoy reading it. If I do, then I'll publish it. Well since you're reading it, it means I loved it, and I hope you will too!
There are different types of men with different personality traits which is exactly why I don’t share in “all men are the same”. All women aren’t the same either, but we could have gender similarities respectively.
They say a woman has to kiss as many frogs as possible before landing the one, yeah? I also choose to make an exception to that because I didn’t have a choice in most of these cases!
I’m not just writing this for fun, but to also create awareness on what so many girls go through especially at a younger age when they could be vulnerable and naive — without telling anyone. I didn’t share all of this story with my mum (bless her soul) because I knew she wouldn’t take it lightly, and I do not like creating scenes nor being involved in public drama! And also because I didn’t take all of them seriously. Let’s get started:
Some day after classes - when I was going home, he finally approached me with some of his friends, and I was frightened. I think I sort of recognized him from the passport photo he sent. He said hi, and I greeted “good evening”. He introduced himself (I cannot remember his name), and he asked for my number, and I declined, and said I was going home. They just stood there while I walked away.
Ps, I’ve always looked older than my age; so I looked quite mature for a 12 year old
I met this guy at one of my friend’s school when I was in junior high school. He was her friend. I didn’t know he liked me too. He asked my friend for my number, but I didn’t have a phone then so I gave him my mum’s number since I was mostly with my mum’s phone. I bought a text message book to learn how to send goodnight messages to him. During visiting day in my school - which turned out to also be a harvest day (my school was owned by a church if I remember correctly), he came, and he asked of me. I came out of the church to join the line for our thanksgiving, and I saw him and went into hiding! I have no idea why I did that; but I really liked him.
I’ve had four different experiences in this category!

And also because I didn’t take all of them seriously. Let’s get started:
1. The Secret Admirer
I think I was 12. I used to go for lessons at some school (name withheld) during holidays. I had a friend whom the guy knew, and he always sent me love letters through her, and one day he attached his passport photograph in one of the letters. Some day after classes - when I was going home, he finally approached me with some of his friends, and I was frightened. 2. The First Crush
Omg! I’ve always liked cute dark skin guys!I met this guy at one of my friend’s school when I was in junior high school. He was her friend. I didn’t know he liked me too. 3. The Unfaithful Married Man
I’ve had four different experiences in this category!
A). THE PRIEST!
I did say my junior high school was owned by an Anglican Church, right; and we always had this church attendance booklet given to us at the end of a session - that needed to be signed by your priest every Sunday during the holidays to show that you attended the church service. So I and my friend (we attended the same school, same church, and lived quite close to each other) went to meet him after church service to have our booklets signed, and he asked us to come in the evening that he’s got some things to attend to at that moment.
We went back in the evening, and my friend had this church program her parents insisted she and her siblings always have to attend — so she went for it. I mean it’s just to go get the booklets, give her hers, and go home, yeah?
So I went to the clergy house, and the house help went to notify him. He asked me to wait in the sitting room. His wife was leaving because I heard him saying bye to her.
After a while, this man came into the sitting room from their back door, and pulled my face up, and tried to kiss me. I resisted, and he left. At this point, I was worried about my booklet, and if he’s going to sign it since I wasn’t prepared to serve the punishment that comes with not signing it when I go back to school.
He came back, and I stuttered about him signing the booklet, and he said he will. He moved closer to me, dragged me up, and pulled me so close to his body and then tried to kiss me but I had my teeth clenched. He tried to separate them with his tongue, and I was so disgusted. At this point I was trying to scream but I knew if I opened my mouth he’d have his way so I kept making muffled sounds. I struggled myself out of his grip, and ran out of the house. Waited for my friend to finish her program, and go get the booklets herself.
When she was done, and saw me and how I kept spitting, she knew what had happened but she summoned courage to go get the booklets, and she succeeded.

B). THE PAGEANT JUDGE
This one knew me from a pageant audition, and never allowed me to rest. He kept promising he’ll make me a winner if I slept with him. No I did not!
C). THE DESPERATE ONE
C). THE DESPERATE ONE
Met him at a hangout with my friends. He got my number, and kept asking me to be his girl. He even said he doesn’t want me to breakup with my boyfriend then. All he wanted was pleasure while he flies me to different countries of my choice, and gives me anything I want. Please if your wife is giving you issues, then endeavor to end your marriage before going after someone else. It's the honorable, and most respectable thing to do. Sometimes, challenge yourself to be different from everyone else! You'll be more proud of yourself!
It's wiser to brag about having a woman another man cannot touch, than bragging about how many women you can get, or have in your life. It's quite easy to get women, but having one woman love, and devote her time to you for the rest of your life, and her life? Not easy! Strive for that.
D). THE LECTURER
D). THE LECTURER
This particular man, I pray karma visits him! He was a lecturer in my university who failed me just so he can have an opportunity to talk to me, and make his $tupid demands.
4. The Obsessed/Control Freak
This was also another priest but unmarried at that time, and I was in the university. He was interested in marriage, and wanted me to dress a certain way, wear certain types of outfits, cut my natural nails. He knew I had a boyfriend because he’s seen us in church one time, and he got my number when we registered as first timers. He called me and said I have a message from God, and I’ll need to come to the church to receive it. I was very religious as at then, and I went; and he started talking about how it’s better to marry a man God has destined for you.No, he never touched me nor tried to. He just made attempts to always see me, and take me to places he was visiting like the hospitals. When he saw I wasn’t interested in getting married to him, he became hostile.
5. The Pervert
This one was quite confused as to what he wanted in a woman. All he’s interested in is s€x. Each time he calls me, he begins a poem, and his favorite line is “baby, your voice is like a singing bird”. He makes sure I keep talking, and I never knew he was ma$turbating. The day I found out, I was disgusted.6. The Brother’s Friend
This was my cousin’s friend. Because of the age gap, I also saw him as an older brother but he was always calling me his wife, as little as I was. I don’t think I saw anything wrong in it. I liked him with the innocence of a child, and I remember my cousins always teased me about him because of how much he liked me.7. The Player
This one was sleeping with different women, but wanted me to take him seriously. He was desperate to get married because according to him, he was getting older and wanted to start a family. I told him I couldn’t marry him because he can’t be faithful. He got married to someone else, and on the day of his traditional wedding, he was still texting me about how much he loves me, and how he wounded himself because I left him. Yes, on his traditional wedding day!
8. The One That Thinks He’s Hot
This one overrates himself. Don’t get me wrong, he’s cute but he thinks he’s got charm to make every girl spend on him. He dresses nicely, smells good, and talks to you for a while before making demands. And no, I wasn’t the only girl he was talking to. I never sent him money for anything anyway because I was smarter!9. The Father Figure
This was one of my suitors. He was cute, and young but he was acting like my father. He always wanted to make sure I was okay. He checks up every minute to know what’s going on. One time I had a pageant, he sent his cousin to do my makeup, and keep an eye on me. He was really sweet, but I didn’t say yes because I felt I was too young to handle some things.
10. The True Love
The one I finally ended up with, after all my hard girl. He's everything 🥰
This screams hot chick. If you write a book I’ll buy. Curtesy, your secret admirer. Pun intended 😅
ReplyDeleteI was cringing at the pervert. Eww
ReplyDeleteI’ve met the one who thinks he’s hot and funnily enough I gave him money a couple of times because there’s always something he needs to do. I was in love until I found out he’s cheating on me. My eyes cleared. Bad old days 😅
That priest must belong to Apostle sule group chat
ReplyDeleteI haven’t stopped laughing honestly. Whattttttt the first priest part was very funny 🤣
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading this. The illustrations too. You’re a fine writer and you’ve got a fan. I’ve got a question, perhaps the priest had his way, and you end up getting pregnant, what would you have done?
ReplyDeleteWild thoughts
DeleteWomen go through a lot and its impressive how you didn’t give in. That’s why u could boldly write this. Mine was in my workplace and he was married too. I had to resign because the wife threatened me
